Quadrant Capital Partners is a Dallas based private investor and advisor that provides opportunistically priced capital for commercial property investments and early stage companies in Canada and the United States. Quadrant looks to invest with experienced operators who have proven track records, capital at risk and realistic value creation strategies. Quadrant may also arrange additional capital from high net worth investors, family offices or institutions to co-invest in larger investments or programs.

Michael Young’s 35-year history in the world of large scale real estate and corporate finance has created a unique set of relationships and perspectives on capital flows in both directions across the US/Canadian border.  His clients include large North American owner-operators who have used Quadrant’s services to access the public and private markets in Canada and the US, and to facilitate joint ventures with major institutions and large public companies.

QFP provides mezzanine and stretch senior financing for most types of stabilized and transitional commercial real estate across the US.

Multi-state, non-performing single family mortgage pools. $139 million of unpaid balance, 1,200 loans, acquired at distressed pricing in 2009. Liquidation strategy was completed in 2014.

QUADRANT LOGISTICS PARTNERS, DALLAS

Single-Family, for-rent portfolio assembly in N. Texas in 2012. Assets sold to large institutional aggregator in mid 2013.

RETAX FUNDING, DALLAS

Co-founder

Property tax lien lending platform in Texas. Originated a $25 million loan portfolio starting in 2005. Sold in 2009 to Red McCombs Family interests.

Keystone Canada, toronto

Founder

Portfolio assembly of 20 mobile home parks across Canada ($100 million fund) started in 2004. Sold to an institutional investor in 2011.

    Michael Young is President of Quadrant Capital Partners, Inc. which he founded in November 2003.  From January 1994 to October 2003, Mr. Young served as Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Investment Banking for CIBC World Markets.  Mr. Young was appointed Global Head of Real Estate for CIBC World Markets in 1997.  He has been Trustee of SmartCentres REIT (TSX), formerly Calloway Real Estate Investment Trust, since November 2003 and currently serves as Lead Independent Trustee.  He served on the Board of Acasta Enterprises, Inc. (TSX) from June 2017 until his resignation in February 2018.  Mr. Young was a Trustee and Chairman of the Board of Milestone Apartments REIT (TSX) from March of 2013 until April 2017, when Milestone Apartments REIT completed a “going private” transaction with Starwood Capital Group as the purchaser.  He was a Director of Brookfield Residential Properties Inc. (NYSE/TSX) from March 2011 and a Director of Brookfield Homes from 2007.  On March 12, 2015 Brookfield Residential Properties completed a “going private” transaction with Brookfield Asset Management as the purchaser.  Mr. Young holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Western Ontario. He is a member of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame.

    Sharon Young is Vice-President of Quadrant Capital Partners, Inc., a family investment office primarily focused on real estate investments. Prior to starting Quadrant, she founded Solstice Management, L.P. a real estate hedge fund focusing on publicly traded U.S. and Canadian securities.  Ms. Young previously started and managed a REIT fund at Westwood Management, a money management firm with $8 billion of assets under management. Ms. Young serves as a trustee for the Dallas Museum of Art, chairing the Audit Committee.  She also chairs the Program Advisory Council for the Nasher Sculpture Center.  She has served on The Advisory Board of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and the Planned Parenthood of North Texas board. Young received her MBA from Southern Methodist University.

    Jennifer Huff joined Quadrant Capital Partners in October 2014. Prior to Quadrant, Jennifer worked for ClubCorp, owner of approximately 160 private golf and country clubs, business and sports clubs and alumni clubs in 25 states and 2 foreign countries. She was the Tournament Sales Director and later Private Event Director for Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch, TX. Prior to ClubCorp, Jennifer worked in Colorado Springs at The Broadmoor Resort and Hotel. Jennifer is a graduate of Texas Tech University where she received her Bachelors Degree in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management.
